We have a lot of rain in the forecast starting Wednesday, June 2nd. We need to get the top poured no later than Tuesday. So today we focused on getting the forms built.
For the two interior sections I mounted 2×4’s into the block using cement screws and then placed 1/2″ cement board on top.
For the exterior I mounted 2×4’s directly to the block using the tapcon cement screws. I mounted the 2×4’s a half inch below the top of the block. This will give the top a small overhang of 1 1/2″‘s wide. Then I screwed 2×6 boards to make the top 4″ thick. It was very easy to level the top this way.
Tomorrow will be rebar.
